Objective of the fund

The fund aims to generate long-term capital growth by investing in equities and equity funds of developed and emerging Asia excluding Japan, in the consumer discretionary, consumer staples and telecommunication sectors. This includes, but is not limited to, retailers and wholesalers of regional brands, casinos and hotels, food producers, supermarkets, and mobile device manufacturers.

The relative immaturity of the capital markets, in the regions the fund invests, generates attractive investment opportunities.

The fund may also invest in companies established or located in countries outside of Asia but carrying out their business activities predominantly in Asia.

The fund is denominated in SEK.

Investment policy/characteristics:
  • Strategic Asset Allocation: 100% in equities and equity funds.
  • Invests mainly in Greater China, developed and emerging Asia, including Central Asia, but excluding Japan, and may also invest in companies established or located in countries outside of Asia which carry out their business activities predominantly in Asia.
  • Invests in companies engaged in the consumer discretionary, consumer staples and telecommunication sectors. This includes, but is not limited to, retailers and wholesalers of regional brands, casinos and hotels, food producers, supermarkets, and mobile device manufacturers.

The fund is suitable for the investor that:
  • Believes in the growth of the consumption in Asia.
  • Believes in the transition of Asia, from export/investment oriented to consumption oriented.
  • Is willing to take a higher risk in exchange for the possibility of higher returns.
  • Would like to diversify his/her investments from developed to emerging markets.
  • Has a long-term investment horizon of at least five years.

Risk information

Investment return and principal value may go down as well as up and could result in a significant loss of the capital invested. Past performance should not be used as an indication or guarantee of future performance. Movements in currency exchange rates can adversely affect the return of the fund. Investments in emerging markets may be subject to increased political, regulatory and economic instability, less developed practices, poor transparency and greater financial risks.
